Wild Scandinavia was founded in 2016 in Örebro county, Sweden. At first it bore the name Scandinavian Conservation Volunteers. With help and inspiration from other environmental organizations around the world it was founded out of a desire to help nature. Our founders had identified an decrease in the public engagement in non-profit work, especially that which surrounded nature and wildlife conservation. A decision was made to offer exciting and rewarding experiences to international volunteers and thereby be able to continue the extremely imortant conservation work.

The participants on our projects and expeditions have come from far and wide, Argentina and Brazil to name a few places. 

 

The founders of Wild Scandinavia come from many different backgrounds but we all have one thing in common, the desire to learn from and preserve the natural world that surrounds us.
